Bad news for the White House: The percentage of Americans who approve of the way Barack Obama is handling his job has dropped back into the 30s, according to the latest poll results from Gallup.

Over the three-day period that ended Wednesday, 39 percent of Americans now approve of Obama’s performance as President of the United States.

One wonders what impact Obama’s recent “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone” declaration, in which he vowed to use every tool at his disposal – principally, the executive order – to circumvent the U.S. Congress to implement his agenda, will have on future poll results.
