In President Obama’s latest weekly address performance, he appears more sincere and measured about creating more economic growth and job opportunities. For about a minute and a half.
Since unemployment checks for over a million of… err, voters are on the line, he then goes all Pelosi with the myth that unemployment checks create jobs.
“Unemployment insurance is one of the most effective means to boost the economy. When people have more money to spend, it means more customers for their businesses, and ultimately more jobs.”
That’s right – paying people not to work is good for the economy. Forget all the Keynesian econobabble – it’s nonsense, and everybody knows its nonsense. Let’s lay this out underpants gnome style:
People could show their “obligation” towards fellow human beings by putting value into the economy in exchange for a check, instead of just voting for a certain big government party. Just a thought.
