As Global Warming Hysteria Cools, Arctic Ice GROWS by 60% in a Year

In yet another demonstration that paid liars government scientists can shill for global warming all they want, mother nature will demonstrate the falsity of their apocalyptic theories — the arctic icecap has grown.

How much has it grown over last year? According to right-wingers NASA satellite evidence by 60% or 920,000 square miles. The Daily Mail reported:

A chilly Arctic summer has left nearly a million more square miles of ocean covered with ice than at the same time last year – an increase of 60 per cent.

The rebound from 2012’s record low comes six years after the BBC reported that global warming would leave the Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013.

Instead, days before the annual autumn re-freeze is due to begin, an unbroken ice sheet more than half the size of Europe already stretches from the Canadian islands to Russia’s northern shores.

This is worth getting a good look at. First, the ice from August 2012:

As the Daily Mail points out, several (non-government-funded) scientists are warning about global cooling, due in part to readings of what is known in exclusive scientific circles as “data.”

Forbes reported in July about a government panel that contradicted the impression given by the Democrat Party that global warming is a crisis allowing them an excuse to crackdown on and milk the American economy. (The passage is well worth reading in full.)

Expert witnesses called by Sen. Barbara Boxer to testify during Senate Environment and Public Works hearings yesterday contradicted a key assertion made by President Barack Obama on climate change. Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser less than a month before directing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to impose costly new restrictions on carbon dioxide emissions, Obama said, “we also know that the climate is warming faster than anybody anticipated five or 10 years ago.”

“I don’t have much patience for people who deny climate change,” Obama added.

However, climate scientists including United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) lead author Hans von Storch report temperatures have remained essentially flat for the past 10 years, and indeed for the past 15 years.  Storch told Der Spiegel that 98 percent of IPCC climate models cannot replicate the prolonged pause in global warming, and IPCC may need to revise its computer models to correct their apparent warming bias.

As for “climate change” — the term is a redundancy. Climate changes and always has. But the hard left is promoting false talking points in order to further its agenda of controlling the economy and people’s social behavior. As M.I.T. professor and climate expert Dr. Richard Lindzen put it, global warming is a “religion“. He writes in the fall 2013 issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons:

“Global climate alarmism has been costly to society, and it has the potential to be vastly more costly. It has also been damaging to science, as scientists adjust both data and even theory to accommodate politically correct positions.”

What is important for people to note is that global warming hysteria was seen by many as a “big lie” from the beginning. As the Daily Mail earlier reported, for example, the scientist who staked a claim that the Himalayas would melt by 2035 in the Nobel Prize-winning (are we seeing a trend?) IPCC report admitted ‘it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.’

No wonder newspaper coverage is dropping off the grid, as the environmentalist left’s false narratives continue to be exposed by nature:

2000-2013_climate_coverageThe ultimate strawman that the global warming proselytizers like to push is that it is “undeniable” that man affects climate. True, but in the way that lobbing a rock into the ocean increases sea levels. Oh, and about the sea levels rising… it looks like Barack Obama will be able to make good on his promise to put a halt to that, after all.
