FBI Director Has No Clue Who is Leading IRS Investigation
FBI Director Robert Mueller is so serious about ‘getting to the bottom’ of the IRS scandal that he has no idea who is leading the investigation. This came out during a Congressional hearing Thursday.
It’s good to know that the folks in Washington are taking the IRS scandal seriously. CNS News’ Joe Schoffstall captured Mueller’s exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan (R – OH) :
While testifying before the House Judiciary Committee today, FBI Director Robert Mueller could not name the lead investigator in the IRS case involving the targeting of conservative groups. It is now one month into the investigation.
Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH): “Can you tell me who the lead investigator is?”
Mueller: “Off the top of my head, no.”
Jordan: “It’s the most important issue in front of the country in the last six weeks, and you don’t know who’s heading up the case? Who the lead investigator is?”
Mueller: “At this juncture, no, I do not know.”
Mueller also claimed ignorance when Rep. Jordan asked him if anyone had contacted the victims of the IRS scandal.
This is the kind of “accountability” the administration actually means after it puts on a charade for the public. Just like Eric Holder can be held in contempt by Congress and then lie about going after Fox News reporter James Rosen. Just like the terrorists ‘will be brought to justice’ for killing our servicemen in Benghazi, Libya and there are still no serious efforts to go after the perpetrators.
This administration does whatever it wants, says whatever it wants, and it suffers no consequences — in terms of public opinion, elections or Congressional action.
Welcome to fundamental transformation — where progressive politicians run wild, loot the treasury, spy on citizens and target them for retribution. Investigations are a ruse, trials are for show, media outrage is feigned to intimidate the opposition, and people who should be trusted public officials are political hacks. The American people expect a real investigation and actual accountability — not BS games and endless spin.
