Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle was eulogized at Dallas’ Texas stadium, where thousands attended to honor the memory of the husband, father and highly decorated soldier. Chris Kyle’s widow Taya gave an emotional and powerful eulogy that all people should bear in mind when considering the loss of a military man who fought for his country and was tragically killed helping his friend.
Taya Kyle spoke in wavering tones before the national audience. “When you think you cannot do something, think again. Chris always said the body will do whatever the mind tells it to. I’m counting on that now. I stand before you a broken woman, but I am now and always will be, the wife of a man who was a warrior both on and off the battlefield.”
She told her two children that “they will remember Chris Kyle’s silly side, Texas twang and prayers they prayed together.” Taya also said that Chris Kyle will never be forgotten. “Legends never die. Chris Kyle is not gone. He’s not gone. He’s everywhere. The fabric of the freedom of this nation.”
