Media Deception: NBC Smears 2nd Amendment Supporters as 'Hecklers' of Sandy Hook Victim's Parent

The blatantly activist network NBC once again altered footage to frame the Democrat Party’s enemies in a heinous and insensitive light. (The many ways the network has played deceptive games with public opinion can be found here.)
NBC framed the parent of a slain victim of the Sandy Hook shooting as getting heckled by Second Amendment supporters. Only that didn’t happen. Not even close.
John Nolte of Breitbart expands at length on why the mainstream media’s description is so dishonest. Essentially, Neil Heslin, the father of a slain child, spoke at the hearing and asked a question of the audience. Nolte observes:
If you look at the full, unedited tape (which was first obtained by Twitchy), you’ll see that after 15 minutes of the audience remaining respectfully silent as Mr. Heslin spoke out against assault weapons, he then turns to ask the audience a direct question:
I ask if there’s anybody in this room that can give me one reason or challenge this question … why anybody in this room needs to have one of these assault-style weapons or military weapons or high-capacity clips.
After a moment of silence, the father proceeded to presume that no one disagreed with him, and a few people respectfully spoke up to register that the assumption was not the case.

The activist media scrambled to use the moment of disagreement as a cudgel to bludgeon the objecters and framed them as having “heckled” the witness. These media outlets are listed as follows, according to Twitchy via Breitbart.com:
The official Twitter accounts of The Daily Beast, Slate, The Huffington Post, MSNBC, Gawker, along wth Andrew Kaczynski of BuzzFeed Politics, CNN’s Piers Morgan, David Frum of the Daily Beast, Eric Boehlert of Media Matters, Michael Skolnik of the Global Grind, Democrat Congressman Jim Himes, Talking Point Memo’s Josh Marshall, and Vanity Fair’s Kurt Eichenwald.
This is how the outright manipulation of public opinion is carried out by the echo chamber media. The network NBC doesn’t care if it misrepresents this parent’s opinion, or those who attended the hearing; it is a part of the left-wing media complex, which regards truth as just a ‘bump in the road’
While many alternative news sites engage in dissent and critical analysis of mainstream media narratives, and commonly disagree with establishment positions in both parties, the difference between a website offering evidence in support of an argument with proper context and framing is much different than this kind of deceptive manipulation carried out by NBC. Again, the network should issue a retraction for misleading its viewers and the American public at large.
