President Obama’s 2013 address highlighted the words “time,” “people” and “must,” as reflected by the relative sizes of the words below in this word cloud:

Compare the president’s word cloud from his 2009 inaugural address, which highlighted “new” and “nation”:

Absent from these word clouds? The terms deficit, debt and “Constitution.” Like in 2009, the terms “hope” and “change” were not prominent.
