An assassination attempt on Bulgarian opposition leader Ahmed Dogan this weekend has been captured on video. Dogan fended off the would-be assassin with his bare hands at point-blank range, buying time before his stunned assailant was surrounded and captured by armed guards.

No word yet by the news media if this proves Americans don’t need guns for self-defense.
