What President Obama Did NOT Run on in Campaign 2012

During the 2012 campaign, the president ran on a platform of taxing the rich, protecting abortion, expanding gay marriage, instituting affordable health care, and making defense cuts (to fund the expanding welfare state).

In addition, while promoting his campaign booklet, which was released just prior to the election, he said: “Here’s my plan for the next four years: Making education and training a national priority; building on our manufacturing boom; boosting American-made energy; reducing the deficits responsibly by cutting where we can, and asking the wealthy to pay a little more.”
