Professor Gives Math Students Democrat Loyalty Pledge

Early last week Professor Sharon Sweet at Brevard Community College (BCC) allegedly told students to sign a pledge that reads: “I pledge to vote for President Obama and Democrats up and down the ticket.”
It is no secret that around 90% of college professors in the more political disciplines vote Democrat. So if a prof is caught administering a Democrat loyalty oath to students, one would think it would be in Indigenous Multi-culturalism of the Ferghana River Valley or some such class, not number-figgerin’.
But one has to admire the professor’s attempts at transparency. Codifying one’s political allegiance at the beginning of a class alleviates some ambiguity and confusion a conservative might feel if he were tempted to speak out in class or share his thoughts on the upcoming election.
In a way, this liberal professor was doing her class a favor. Honestly, one should admire her for being forthright with her students, instead of pretending to be impartial.
