Governor Rick Perry is terrified of an Obama victory this November. So much so, that he will turn to the heavens if Obama wins.

The Republican Texas Governor told Fox News, “Gold help us if [Romney] doesn’t win,” and recommended that the GOP “better get a fire going” behind Romney is they didn’t already have one.

The Governor has disagreed with Romney on several issues during their primary battles including disagreement over the bank bailouts, but he aims to look beyond their differences in the quest for a much larger issue: keeping Obama out of the White House in 2013.

Perry was in support of GOP candidate Newt Gingrich after his own campaign suffered, but looks to Romney to carry the torch now.

Romney also mentioned he “could be” considering a run for the White House in 2016.
